To commemorate "National Mathematics Day" a seminar was organised by the Department of Mathematics on 22.12.22 at 11 AM in room no. 15 (old block), P.N. College (Auto), Khordha

- Topic of the seminar was “Symbol and Terminology in Mathematics - nothing abstract about it - ".
- Prof. Tushar Kanti Tripathy (former Vice-Chairman - CHSE (O)) was the resource person in the said seminar.
- At the beginning Principal Dr. Ajanta Satpathy delivered welcome address. She also explained the Life History of famous mathematician Ramanujan.
- Prof. Narayan Baliarsingh, HOD , Mathematics introduced the resource person and highlighted the relevance of topic chosen for the seminar.
- Prof. Tripathy delivered his talk from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM and described the topic through PPT presentation.
- There was a question-answer session from 1:15 PM to 1:40 PM.
- After the end of the session, Dr Purnima Nayak offered vote of thanks.
- All faculty members of Math. Department - Dr. Krishna Manjari Sahu, Prof. Durga Charan Nayak, Dr. Mita Sharma , Prof. Arabinda Parida (stat), faculty members of some other departments along with more than 80 students from Math (H) and other departments were present in the seminar.
- Dr. Soumyendra Mishra, Reader in Mathematics coordinated the above event on behalf of the department.
- Wall magazine (The Sphere) was unveiled in this occasion.
